Eco ice at the Conxemar 2017
Conxemar from 3rd to 5th October of 2017 in Vigo (Spain): Refrigeration for the fish processing industry – energy efficiency increases competitiveness
Companies in energy-intensive sectors such as the fish processing industry depend on designing their buildings, facilities and production processes as energy-efficiently as possible. In particular, their refrigeration requirements will continue to increase in the future due to increasing technologisation and climate change, which is reflected in growing demand for refrigeration for the cooling and storage of goods in production.
During the Conxemar, one of the world’s most important fairs for the fish processing industry, the company Eco ice offers possible solutions for this sector. On the basis of combined power, heat and cold and the use of cold present in LNG, Eco ice technologies provide high-quality cooling for (deep) cooling applications down to -38°C very cost-effectively as “recycling cold”. In addition to electricity and heat, integrated concepts, e.g. with a combined heat and power unit, also produce cold, which companies can use for the operation of buildings and production. With an optimal design, it is possible to reduce the demand for primary energy for generating electricity, heat and cooling to such an extent that additional external power procurement for the operation of compression refrigerating machines can be waived entirely outside peak load times.
